To Soul Treasures
Thank you for your continuous support not just for me, but for
all those before me and who will come after me. lndependent labels really
get a lift from your exposure. I love you guys! Now let's get down to business.
First of all both of these CDs have been a long time coming. If they had
been released in the seventies they both had potential of being million
sellers. I say that because they were recorded with that era being the
contemporary music of that time. The groups The Imperial Wonders and TRUTH，
of which I and Russell Watts were members of both, should have been very
well of financially today. But sometimes God works in mysterious ways and
by not giving you what you want, but what you need, may have been instrumental
in saving your life or preventing evil powers from advantage of you.
The sales of both of these CDs are moving at a faster pace than
my previous releases on DYOB Records “Time Machine” and “lce Cold Energy”,
both by The Imperial Wonders. l am thinking that this will be my break
through year. People love to hear the real strings and horns. Plus l was
in a zone mentally after just having success with “This Time Around”
on S.0.U.L. for “The Original Imperial Wonders”. “Trying To Get To You”
was actually my first song ever on the air before “This Time Around”.
The O’Jays contribution to this CD was very strong with “Tumed Around
Over You” and “You Live only once”. The TRUTH CD was my first big contribution
to any project and it was propelled by my prior success with “Shakey Ground”
on The Temptations. These CDs must be getting ready to blow up because
they are already being pirated like they were recorded by Super Stars.
I'm getting good reviews all over so far like in Japan and Great Britain
which plays cuts from all 4 of my CDs on Star Point Radio. Thanks to Dave

l still plan to release some songs sitting on the shelf in
the Motown/Jobete vaults and to contact Stan Watson for licenses on some
recordings we did in Philadelphia at Alpha Sound Studio, the sister or
brother studio to Sigma Sound Studio. The real treat is going to be a brand
new TRUTH CD which Larry Hancock and l plan to begin this summer. lt will
feature at least three of the original members of TRUTH and maybe one or
two other Imperial Wonders. We are going to be preparing to do some touring
too to let the world know we are still together. Maybe open for some of
the acts we toured with in the past.
Russel Watts and l have been based in Los Angeles for over
20 years and we have been actively doing vocals for local projects and
performing with AI Boyd's Temptation Experience，The Motown Rhythm Kings,
AI Boyd's Tribute To Philadelphia and The Drifters Revue featuring Russell

Larry has been doing solo recordings like his LP “The Border Line"

Leon H. Green aka Leo Green (not to be confused with the many Leo
Greens l have seen when l googled on the internet) is still working on
his solo Gospel LP. We all still wish him well as we hope he does us.
