Frederick Bolton, the youngest of four children, was born in Talladega, Alabama, to the Rev. A.C. and Vera Mac Woods Bolton. He grew up attending Church where his father pastored.
Fred knew his passion at the tender age of nine -- he loved being a musician,
and his favorite thing to do of all was to sing.
Fred started his musical journey as part of a family gospel group called "The Boltonetts", and sang and played at Churches and concerts around Alabama. Later, he sang with many Gospel groups including the Hevenly Voices, the Delta Aires and the Gospel Angelics, eventually forming his own, "The Anointed Sons". |
He taught himself to play and master many instruments including drums,
guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, trumpet, french horn, cornet and tuba.
Fred has traveled domestically as a musician with Gospel acts such as Doc McKenzie & the Gospel Hilites and the Gospel Angelies.
Fred expanded his repertoire to R&B, which also extended his professional
travels internationally when he was engaged to perform with such popular
acts as the tempting Temptations Review, The Drifters, Willie Hightower, Country band The Jam back Connection. |

It was at an R&B performance that brought him to the attention of Wilbe Records, who signed him to a recording deal as a solo artist.
Bolton says that he's a hundred year old in a thirty eight year old body.
"I have a gift from God, and I'm going to use my gift."
"My songs are about love, life and positive living. I love watching
people's expressions when I sing to them, because I feel connected to them.
I believe in my spirituality and I trust in my instincts. Once people hear
my music, they will love and cuddle to it."
"Music i my life and as lomg as my heart is pure God understands my
intentions!" |
